Alaska Mission Trip #10

Monday was our last day there and we did two assemblies at Nome-Beltz Jr-Sr High School in Nome. A very nice facility. Two assemblies because of the size of the student body - quite a change from the villages we had been in. First was in the morning for High School and then the afternoon for Jr High School.

The evening saw the Rally at the local Covenant Church.

This brought our trip to an end - and in fact, because of weather we had to fly out that night to be sure we could make our Anchorage connections. Much snow came down and smaller planes were hampered but the larger Alaska Airlines 737s made it in and out.

The trip was filled with much learning - about Alaska and about the native population. The Spirit of Christ is alive and well in Alaska in both the white population but also in the native people. We met many who were a strong witness of the love of Jesus. They are working hard, with the Spirit's strength, to bring that message of hope to all those around them. We hope our small part was helpful! We'll think of Alaska very differently now after our first-hand experience there. Thanks for your support in prayers and dollars that helped make it happen.
